The Units of Study in Opinion/Argument, Information, and Narrative Writing Series

Units of Study in Writing is a K-8 classroom resource designed to enhance writing instruction through a blend of print and digital units, tools, and resources. This curriculum is the result of decades of dedicated work in classrooms and is backed by extensive, ongoing research. It offers a teacher-supportive, student-centered approach that has been proven to support learning success. Anchored by a workshop framework, the units provide an ideal mix of instructional methods, including whole-class, small-group, and one-on-one instruction, along with independent practice. This ensures that every student receives the support they need to develop their writing skills effectively.
